Finding Home Farms was pretty hesitant to add anything to their maple syrup because it is already pretty perfect. But then they figured out that they could "brew" the flavor of coffee into their maple syrup and knew they were onto something fun.

Once they did that, they knew the next thing to try was to add cayenne pepper.  Actually, they tried several different types of pepper and cayenne paired the best.  The front of the flavor is sweet and then the spicy part hits you at the back (kind of like a mullet).

Our favorite ways to use it include over fried chicken, in cocktails and of course on our pancakes and waffles.
